Description
The model AP1601 is a 10 Watt omnidirectional Acoustic Beacon, or Pinger, which is primarily used for tracking, relocating, marking and signaling. It is available in any frequency between 32 and 45 kHz. The beacon may be attached to any number of underwater objects that are either fixed or moving. The unit is switched on by immersion in either fresh or salt water or it may also be switched on by using a shorting link across the water contacts.
Two inexpensive and easy to replace 1.5 volt batteries power the beacon for a period of 12 or 24 days depending on the type of battery used, alkaline or lithium. Its nickel plated 316 stainless steel housing and epoxy encapsulated electronics make this pinger extremely durable and reliable.
Stocked frequencies are 34.00, 37.00 and 40.00 kHz. Any frequency between 32 and 45 kHz is available for this model at no additional charge. Contact us for delivery on custom frequencies. Custom ping lengths and ping rates are also available.
